January Six: Stacks & Stashes

January 6th, 2012

Tea.  I love it.  But I change the brand now and then, and though I LOVE full leaf tea, I’m on a budget that just doesn’t allow for any of that.  At least not at the rate I consume tea.  Currently I’m just enjoying the tea of my childhood.  Twinings Earl Grey.  Well, that and [...]

January Five: Stacks & Stashes

January 5th, 2012

There are certain things that seem to just loose themselves.  Socks, for example.  Or hair elastics.  And the ever illusive guitar pick.  At least that’s how it works around here.  I used to carry only three guitar picks, and each were a different gage.  Now I have a stash.  Why?  Because I’m playing more guitar [...]

Safely tucked away.  Until they make there way to wherever it is guitar picks always go.

January Four: Stacks & Stashes

January 4th, 2012

Reading material.  All throughout the house.  On my side table.  In my side table.  In my work cupboard.  Books I am currently studying.  Books that should always be accessible.  Books I will need to, oh so stealthily, place on my husbands side table.  I didn’t want to stop there, so I looked around for the [...]

January Three: Stacks & Stashes

January 3rd, 2012

More crafting!  Before Christmas, while digging through my container of paints and glitter, the kids asked me to PLEASE teach them how to water-colour paint.  (Not that I am an expert, I just bought paint, probably fifteen years ago). I told them we’d do some painting over Christmas.  We opened them up last week, and [...]

I told them we’d do some painting over Christmas.  We opened them up last week, and played around with mixing colour and layering.  This creating and crafting has been so good for the soul.

January Two: Stacks & Stashes

January 2nd, 2012

I already mentioned Christmas Break consisted of crafts.  I had a pack of paper clay I wanted to use with the kids.  I did some googling to come up with ideas, and low and behold, I found that people created amazing art dolls using paper clay.  I determined that would be my project.  She is [...]

January One: Stacks & Stashes

January 1st, 2012

This first week of January I am photographing stacks and stashes of things around the house.  Christmas Break included a lot of crafting. Mainly to keep the kids busy, and since we were sick, we needed to stay busy indoors.  I bought a pair of knitting needles, determined to knit.  Well, I was finishing up [...]

Mainly to keep the kids busy, and since we were sick, we needed to stay busy indoors.  I bought a pair of knitting needles, determined to knit.  Well, I was finishing up some crocheting projects, and have yet to pick up the knitting needles, but that will happen in 2012.  The kids also tried their hands at crocheting, but quickly gave up, mad that they couldn’t do it as fast as I can.  They tried their hands at the knitting loom and promptly gave up as well.  Needless to say I have a small yarn stash.

September 27th, 2011

Almost the end of September.  This month has been busy.  I can try to describe it in one word: reorganize.
